I missed writing to this blog all this while. She is growing into interesting inspiration that I never thought she would be. The way she calls "appa", the way she cries, the way she hatches her plan of thought and action.oof. Too much to handle by alone. Thus its partenting. She is quite a restless sleepless :) baby.
Yesterday went with her to park nearby and jogged for 5 full rounds while she was cycling without tiring. People were looking at us with fun. She cycled really fast and furious. She had 2 stops for drinking water. I enjoyed this day the most in the recent times.
In afternoon we had taken her to her first ever theater movie. This was a 3D film on Shrek. The UV glass which they gave was bigger than her face. She didn't like that at all. She has very good sense of dressing and style. This somehow didn't gel well with her. I wonder to understand what went in her mind. To this extent she keeps it very secret. She has never revealed what she has done in the school, grand pa's house.
Next she will go to Presidency school near our house. Very interesting era folds for us!

I want to buy some investment option for her and donate some money to orphanage. I feel this is the best way to celebrate her birthday. Let me postpone the second part to my birthday and shall celebrate my daughters somewhere near Jayanagara.

Infants in two months
Recently we bought a book 0-3 years from Reader's Digest. We had lot of expectations from this book. But this lived upto 30~40% of our expectations. However, our first baby gave us real good experience. I wanted to share this information about her in this blog. I shall do that as much as possible as the memory is very weak.
Initial 2-3 weeks she just cries. Cries for everything. But this makes you prepared for her future. If you enjoy this period then you will have nice bonding. Well in this period she sleeps for max 2 hrs continouously and needs milk otherwise. She can't respond to your pranks or tricks. Well there can be some exceptions. She will be crying otherwise. Probably these are the most painful days. She doesn't sleep as per your plan. Many kids they sleep in the daylight and be awake in the night. Whatever it is she will be adjusting to the new world. She should be given sun bath very regularly. We used to apply coconut oil and then take her to the sun bath. She need everything warm. Proabably this is the reason why she enjoys when she is taken to the sun.
Likhita at this age couldn't open her, rather mild, eyes to the sun. But she just kept quite. Whenever we bring shadow to her eyes she would open her eyes wide open! Probably I should buy her a pair of cooling glasses. These days she is getting ready to go to her great grand parents house.
Somehow this blog is not shaping up well. I guess I should terminate it here.

She smiled!!!
Ha ha ha!!! she smiles. Yesterday my wife sent me SMS that she is smiling all the day. I missed seeing her smiling. We always wanted to see her smiling. Earlier she used to give some glimpse of it but on 30th Aug 2006 she gave a big broad smile.
You may wonder what a fool this guy is. But its a different feeling when you see your child smiling. She smiled for long hours. Next day morning I took a video of she smiling. I waited for more than 30 mins for this.
I told this to my coleague. He laughed at me. Well he didn't understand what it means to me. Well he would once he has his kid. I called up my parents to show the video. It was an occasion at home to cheer about. My in-laws came running in to watch this.
Why am I even writing so much about she smiling? 'Coz she is my daughter and I lover her too.

Its been 38 days now. She is very active already. She can recognise her mother. This makes me jealous. After all I am her father. My family is in my in-laws house. They are doing really good. I had 2 days off from work on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi. Obviously I spent two days with her. On sunday evening I went to Prakash Hebbar's house. But my mind always swirls around my daughter's face expressions.
I know how to make her cry; but don't know how to make her stop. If I show her some red colored object she immediatly recognises it. She tries to catch it. This is where the fun is. I pull it out from her hand and she cries. This is too early.
She always cries between 1:00 to 3:00 am. This is a routine. I know for sure that she will be very demanding when she grows up. However, its too early to worry/ be happy about.

July 19th early morning at 4:50 am. My pregnent wife developed some complication. Her water from womb broke open. So we had to immediately take her to the hospital for the delivery!! We had read a lot of materials about pregnancy and we knew exactly what this meant. She would deliver today!!!!!! This was the beginning of the end of 9 months waiting for us and for my wife final rounds of pain. My in-laws were eager too. My parents were in my house at BTM layout.
By 5:10 am we reached the hospital and docs were ready. This is diwakar's speciality hospital in J.P.Nagar 2nd Phase in Bangalore. I liked this hospital for its cleanliness. Its very cozy and co-ordial. I liked the docs here; very responsible and good.
We were given room number 205. Incidentally, this is the same as my house number in BTM layout. Rameshanna and Sudha-athige had also come in time. Pappa, Amma, Athe and Mava were also present. Sundar also was there. So she developed deep pain around 7:50 and she was taken to the operation theater. So we were all waiting for the new born. Its in a way good in India that there is no predetermination of gender option. So we had kept fingers crossed. I was expecting a baby girl and Jayashree expecting a healthy baby. At 8:32 am Jayashree delivered Likhita. A healthy baby weighing 3.2 kgs. Wow!!! Wait is over. I didn't know that our world would change so soon. She came out vey calm. She had lot of hairs and she was carrot pink colored. She had opened the eyes while she came out itself. Now after the first bath she was looking everything possible. My father-in-law had been to get some medicines. He was not in place when she was handed over to us.
At first sight itself I felt something unusual. Some sort of bonding or belongingness was already knitted. She is our beloved daughter. I wanted to see Jayashree. After all we had much stronger bonding than with the daughter. I handed over Likhita to my mother. All this after a small photo session. I wanted to hug my wife but she was not in sucha position. I wanted to celebrate the new arrial with my wife. But I am turned down.
My/our daughter is named:
Likhita --- Permanently written
Laasya --- Dance posture
Lipi --- God's script
Lavanya --- Goddess Annapoorna
Samskruti --- Cultured
We have named her on 12th October, '06.
More on her later.
